Documento da Administração Bush, obtido pela organização Greenpace, mostra oposição total dos Estados-Unidos ao comunicado previsto pelo governo alemão organizador da reunião do G8 em junho. Esta reunião da qual participará o presidente Lula tem na pauta uma discussão sobre a situação climática do planeta.O protocolo de Kyoto esta previsto para expirar em 2012 e os USA, apesar de signatários, nunca ratificaram este protocolo de combate ao efeito estufa.

The treatment of climate change runs counter to our overall position and crosses multiple “red lines” in terms of what we simply cannot agree to.
